All products manufactured by the Philadelphia Cervical Collar Company are latex-free. Plastazote® foam is non-toxic, hypoallergenic and latex-free.

What is Plastazote® foam?
Plastazote is the brand name for the first closed-cell cross-linked polyethylene foam ever manufactured. The unique high-pressure nitrogen gas solution process eliminates the need for toxic blowing agent residues. It is non-toxic, hypoallergenic and latex-free.

Can you clean the Philadelphia Cervical Collar?
All products manufactured by the Philadelphia Cervical Collar Company can usually be cleaned with mild soap and water for single patient use. The Philadelphia Cervical Collar should be air-dried for optimal performance. We do not recommend placing the Philadelphia Cervical Collar in any mechanical drying apparatus.

Can I shower in the Philadelphia Cervical Collar?
It is possible to perform all hygienic activities while wearing the Philadelphia Cervical Collar. Since Plastazote foam is closed-cell cross-linked polyethylene, it will not absorb water. The Philadelphia Cervical Collar should be air-dried for optimal performance. We do not recommend placing the Philadelphia Cervical Collar in any mechanical drying apparatus.

The Tracheotomy Philadelphia Cervical Collar is manufactured with the identical high quality materials and offers similar features as the Original style. The only difference is the addition of a trachea opening used for carotid pulse monitoring and emergency tracheotomies.

What is the difference between the RED Philadelphia Cervical Collar and the Tracheotomy Philadelphia Cervical Collar?
The RED Philadelphia Cervical Collar is manufactured with the identical high quality materials and offers similar features as the Tracheotomy style. Additional features include: higher density Plastazote foam for increased rigidity, wider shoulder base and higher mandible contour for increased stability and comfort, and higher occipital region for increased limitation of hyperextension.

Do you sell attachments for the Philadelphia Cervical Collar that increase the level of stabilization?
Every Philadelphia Cervical Collar style has attachments to increase the limitation of flexion, extension, rotation and lateral flexion of the cervical region.
