Product Customization:
All Philadelphia brand products use only high-quality materials that allow modifications to enhance immobilization and patient compliance. If a collar, or other product can not properly fit a patient due to congenital deformities or surgical complications, a certified orthotist or other healthcare professional may alter the structure of the collar to achieve a proper fit after a patient assessment is performed. Product modifications void any warranties or limited liabilities of the Philadelphia Cervical Collar Company.
Forming: Latex-free, non-toxic and hypoallergenic Plastazote foam can be modified by using commercially available heat gun. After the foam is heated, a qualified professional can re-form the collar to enhance a patient's immobilization and comfort.
Shaping: A qualified professional may use scissors, or other similar devices, to safely trim and re-shape the Plastazote foam and Velcro hook and loop fasteners to enhance a patient's immobilization and comfort.
Product Privatization
Each product manufactured by the Philadelphia Cervical Collar Company is produced in accordance with our quality standards and includes a standardized packaging and identifying label system. In addition to our existing processing procedures, we are also capable of offering our customers a full range of value-added specialized services.
Over the years, our customers have relied on us for their packaging, labeling and inventory control requirements. We collaborate with designers, graphic artists and printing companies to develop the necessary materials to accomplish their objectives. We deliver private labeled products within specialized shipping cartons to drop-ship destinations, and in most cases, maintain an inventory for immediate release.

Product Fabrication
Charles Greiner built his successful business one brace at a time. Each item he fabricated was specifically for the patient for whom it was prescribed. He knew the only way to satisfy and maintain his customers was to exceed their expectations of product quality and performance. He taught each employee the importance of this concept. Every employee was responsible for product quality and delivery. Since the orthopedic devices were hand-crafted, the employees were able to demonstrate their workmanship to the physicians and their patients.
Anthony Calabrese passed along Mr. Greiner's teachings to his own family and his employees. Salvatore and Carolyn are committed to the idea of quality-handcrafted products and the core principal of off-the-shelf products with a custom made fit. They have never declined an opportunity to assist in a patient's path to recovery.
Recently an orthotist who had worked with Anthony Calabrese, needed a special device. His patient was an infant who could not leave the hospital until she was stabilized. Salvatore asked for certain critical dimensions and designed a brace that immobilized the patient's torso and upper extremities. It took only two days for the brace to be constructed and delivered to the orthotist.
Today, we are able to design and manufacture custom-made products on demand due to our unique processing capabilities. Simply stated, we are able to receive patient specifications from technicians and fabricate medical devices from a wide variety of raw materials and commercial components. After the specifications and materials are agreed upon, fabrication is completed within two days.
